I hate talking about myself. I’m one of those introverted-extroverts who prefers to fly under the radar. Except when I don’t.
The hats in my closet are bountiful and diverse. Momma. Daughter. Sister. Ex-wife. Teacher. Coach. Writer. Photographer. Rescuer. Friend. I love my hats. I hate my hats. I want to put my hats on display in lucite boxes with heat-sensitive alarms and charge an entrance fee. I want to crumple my hats into tiny balls and shove them into a corner of my closet until hell freezes over.
What I’m saying is, I’m complicated. This life is complicated. It’s hard. And parenting life? Lord bless me and keep me because sometimes I feel like one and/or all of us aren't gonna make it. But it’s also beautiful and ridiculous and laugh-out-loud funny. I’m not presenting any earth-shattering news here. You know these things. I’m here to talk about them. While wearing all my hats.
